Schuyler Avenue Students Shine
The Wyoming Valley West School District’s Schuyler Avenue Elementary is proud to announce Star Students for the month of April. Awarded students have exemplary behavior and have displayed positive attitudes towards themselves, their school and teachers for the month of April.

Schuyler Avenue Book Drive
Schuyler Avenue Elementary recently participated in a Book Drive to celebrate the “Week of the Young Child,” which benefits the United Way of Wyoming Valley. This is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families. Schuyler Avenue students and staff collected over 344 books.

Crossing Guards Needed - Edwardsville

The Edwardsville Borough​ is seeking applicants for School Crossing Guards.  You need not be an Edwardsville resident.  If interested, please contact the Chief of Police, Mr. David Souchick at (570) 288-8463.
 
Applicants are required to provide up-to-date Child Abuse Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Background Check, and FBI Clearance, which includes fingerprinting. Forms and registration can be obtained at www.KeepKidsSafe.pa.gov. 
Crossing Guards Needed - Kingston

The Municipality of Kingston is seeking applicants for School Crossing Guards.  Applications for the positions are available at the Kingston Municipal Building, 500 Wyoming Avenue, Kingston, Pennsylvania 18704, and also under Employment Opportunities at www.kingstonpa.org.  Hours average 2-3 hours per day at $10 per hour.

Applicants are required to provide up-to-date Child Abuse Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Background Check, and FBI Clearance, which includes fingerprinting. Forms and registration can be obtained at www.KeepKidsSafe.pa.gov.
